Looking Back to PUBG Mobile Esports in 2020
2020 saw the establishment of a global esports system for PUBG Mobile. A variety of leagues for all types of players, from all over the world. In 2020, PUBG Mobile Esports reached nearly 100 million hours of watchtime, and also hit a new record of peak concurrent viewers (1.1 million) during the World League in Summer. They also had over 120,000 teams registering to participate in the PMCO League, competing for a total of 5 million USD in prize pool.
What are the PUBG Mobile 2021 plans?
In 2021, the PUBG Mobile Esports spectrum will expand into more leagues. The leagues are as follows: CIS, Turkey, Western Europe, Arabia, North America, Latin America, and Brazil. This way, the PUBG Mobile Pro League, will pretty much cover the major regions all over the world.
The 2021 PUBG Mobile season will still feature 2 seasons of PMCO (PUBG Mobile Club Open) and PMPL (PUBG Mobile Pro League), and it will also include the PUBG Mobile Global Championship at the end of the year. The main difference with this year’s season is that PUBG Corporation is introducing the Summer Invitationals, which are intended to take place in Q2 of 2021.

For this brand new year of PUBG Mobile, there will be a huge amount of $14,000,000 USD to be distributed throughout the year. Reaching almost 3 times as much as they had in 2020.
