While many other esports have concluded their seasons, PUBG Mobile 2023 esports is still ongoing. Accordingly, as part of our series of Esports Road Map, let’s take a look and discuss what to look forward to for next year!

Specifically, one event is left in the competitive circuit for this season. Indeed, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 is ongoing. With $4,000,000 on the line and the top 50 teams in the world, the event looks to end the season in an epic way.

Usually, the road map for the next season is announced right before the Grand Finals. So, while we wait for the Grand Finals to kick off between January 6th and 8th, let’s discuss some predictions.

PUBG Mobile 2023 Esports – Keeping a Global Approach

One thing we’ve always praised PUBG Mobile for is an uncanny global approach.

Moreover, in the form of a structure called the ‘PUBG Mobile Pro League’ and also ‘Nations Leagues’ climaxing in Regional Championships. Let’s list all the regions below:

  • Europe
  • Americas
  • Middle-East and Africa
  • South Asia
  • Southeast Asia
  • Japan
  • Korea
  • Brazil
  • LATAM

  • North America
  • Turkey
  • Africa
  • Arabia
  • Pakistan
  • Vietnam
  • Thailand
  • Indonesia
  • China

Accordingly, we’re curious to see if anything changes with regards to regional formats.

International Events – Room for More

This past year, Tencent have done a great job at hosting a few international events as listed:

  • PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 – $4,000,000
  • PUBG Mobile World Invitational – $2,000,000

However, Tencent are instead putting more effort into regional events rather than international ones. We’re curious to see whether more frequent international events will take place in the 2023 esports road map.

In addition, viewership needs to improve in a sense that make the esports numbers comparable to the 2021 numbers – when 3,801,998 peak viewers were recorded for the PUBG Global Championship Season 0.
