When Tencent revealed the PUBG Mobile World League this year, it acted as a separate event to the World Championship. However, as Tencent has just announced, both events will be merging into one – the PUBG Mobile Global Championship! Read on for more details!
This is terrifically exciting news for the PUBG community. Why has the change been made? Most likely, the switch to online events means that hosting one event could be less trouble then hosting two. Anyways, nobody’s complaining as the prize pool has also been combined – a staggering $2,000,000 is now on the line!
Right now, details are scarce but look to follow up the announcement. Accordingly, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship will unite the globe, as 6 regions will compete under one roof ranging from the Americas to the Middle East.
A total of 20 spots are available for the event. The ongoing Pro Leagues will determine these teams. Apart from that, the event should be a squads event and may use the newly released map for the mobile game. All-in-all, it looks to be a phenomenal event for the entire community to enjoy – some say it might come as soon as next week!
