While other esports scenes are concluding their seasons, competitive PUBG Mobile is reaching its climax very shortly. Indeed, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship is almost among us. Kicking off on the 24th November, it looks to be the largest competitive PUBG Mobile event ever!
Organized by Tencent, the online event is putting a phenomenal $2,000,000 on the line. This is the largest prize pool in the history of the esports scene. Fighting for the prize is a total of 24 squads from all over the world, qualifying from all around the world.
Indeed, in terms of format, a league stage kicks off on November 24th.
- 24 teams placed into 3 groups
- 4 weeks of League stage – this will involve 12 matches each week within a round-robin format
- The top 16 proceed to the Super Weekend.
The top 16 will meet on the weekend of December 20th. A total of 18 matches each week will run through the single lobby format. It’s here that teams will rack up points for the final league standings. Points are awarded through kills and placements.
