Competitive PUBG Mobile simply refuses to stop growing, both as a casual title and an esport. Recently, Tencent revealed the all-new PUBG Mobile World League which looks to gather the very best teams in the world, all of whom will be battling out through a season for a shot at the $850,000 set as the prize pool. Revealed at the PMPL South Asia finals, a total of 40 teams will be making up the League, split into East and West divisions. With the competition running from the 10th of July to the 9th August, the midsummer event looks to be the most epic event ever hosted by Tencent for PUBG Mobile. Up until now, the following are the confirmed details for the PMWL, season zero:
- The entire event will be held online, hence ‘season zero’ as it was planned for offline
- Certain teams have already qualified for PMWL East and West through event placings – there are still spots remaining to be decided soon
- Aforementioned $850,000 and midsummer date
