Four years since its launch, PUBG has come a long way in both the community and competitive sense. Indeed, now the community is gearing up for an upcoming season of new content in PUBG Season 11. Don’t worry, we’ve got all the details starting with patch 11.1!
List of New Features for PUBG Season 11
- New Map – Paramo
Well technically, this isn’t a new map. Removed from the rotation a while back, the classic map is being brought back to Normal and Custom matches. In the meantime, Karakin and Haven are leaving.
Is it exactly the same map? Not precisely, with improved terrain, new pieces of cover, increased item spawn rates and the classic randomized elements the map is known for. From now on, PUBG Corp plan on cycling maps more efficiently.
- New Feature – Emergency Pickup
While I doubt this will be featured in competitive play, it’s definitely exciting. By deploying an Emergency Pickup, up to 4 players in a team lagging behind can attach to this Fulton Balloon Rope which gets caught onto a plane. The plane then drags the number of players to the centre of the Safe Zone.
In addition, any time across this flight, players can jump out.
This ‘Emergency Pickup’ will be a lootable item and looks like a lot of fun – found on Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok and Vikendi.
- Quality of Life – Match Log introducted
