As we previewed, yesterday the R6S NAL Stage 2 event concluded. Indeed, with multiple seeds available for the Berlin Major, everything boiled down to the last day. Bearing this in mind, we have an exciting recap covering all of the salient points below!
R6S NAL Stage 2 Recap – Second Time Running
Indeed, returning as champions from Stage 1, Astralis somehow managed to come out on top on the final day. Heading into the final day, they needed Oxygen Esports to lose heavily and themselves to win in regulation.
With XSET managing to hold off Oxygen Esports and Astralis dominating Spacestation Gaming, they’ve managed to earn a victory overall. However, this involved beating our Soniqs based on map record:
- #1 – Astralis – 16 points
- #2 – Soniqs – 16 points
- #3 – Oxygen Esports – 16 points
- #4 – XSET – 15 points
Specifically, an incredible three way tie concluded the regular season!
Regardless, all the listed teams above will be heading to the Berlin Major, hoping to prove themselves online.
