Taking place in Stockholm, Sweden, $500,000 was on the line for the top 16 teams in the world.

Overall, Team BDS were never the favourites for this event. Heading into this event as the second seed from Europe, they also started the Groups without dominating.

Accordingly, they placed second in Group C with 9 points, barely qualifying for the Playoffs.

However, once in the Playoffs, Team BDS managed to turn things around and first, take down the European rivals of Wolves Esports. Following this monumental victory, they then defeated Soniqs in the semifinals.

Finally, the Grand Final involved a tense match between Team BDS and Team Liquid. From 2-1 down, BDS turned it around and won the international Major title!

Otherwise, besides some great competition, the viewership for the event was lacking somewhat. Here’s what Esports Charts recorded:

  • Average Viewers – 45.200
  • Peak Viewers – 121,800

Despite the lower viewership, the event managed to place in the top 5 viewed R6S esports events ever!
