Rainbow Six APAC Finals – Briefing

North Division:

The Giants vs Cloud9 finals was the one that everyone was eager to watch. It kicked off on Coastline, Giantsโ€™ map pick and it started out really well for them on the offense. However, when Cloud9 were on their attack, they also replied in dominant fashion. Eventually winning the first map 8-7. Next up was Cloud9โ€™s map pick Oregon. Here Cloud9 seamlessly took down Giants Gaming 7-4, and with it the Grand Finals win!

Oceanic Nationals:

In Oceania, we had Wildcard Gaming take on the Pittsburgh Knights. First map was Wildcardโ€™s pick, Villa, a very strong map for them historically. And it showed in the end scoreline as they won the map 7-4. Next up was Theme Park, where the Knights felt determined to get revenge on their first map loss. Here, the score line was way closer, as the Knights took the 2nd map 8-6 and tied the series. For their final map, the teams played on Coastline. Wildcard started out strong, winning 3 on the offense, but the Knights were equally as good and managed to take the win.

South Asia Nationals:

In South Asia we had a closer best of 3 series for the Grand Finals. The MercenarieZ were leading the first map, Oregon. However a few rounds later, Union Gaming caught on, and managed to get them into overtime. Ultimately, it was all for nothing, as the MercenarieZ closed out the first map with an 8-7 score line. Villa was the 2nd map lined up for the South Asia finals. Here we saw another dominant performance from the MercenarieZ as they won the 2nd map 8-6.

We hope you enjoyed the Rainbow Six APAC Finals as much as we did, and weโ€™re looking forward to the next big Rainbow Six event
