As we’ve already covered multiple esports in our new series, Rainbow Six Siege is next. Indeed, the tactical FPS has high hopes for 2021 – but will Ubisoft be able to execute? That’s one question to consider as we jump into Rainbow Six Siege Esports 2021. Let’s take a look at the 2021 esports roadmap!
Rainbow Six Siege Esports 2021 – Pushing it Online
This entire article is based on Ubisoft’s recent announcement regarding the 2021 season. We’ll be going in the same chronology for the year of 2021 as in other articles for this series.
Changes are taking place, starting with the Regional Finals, though some have already started.
Regional Finals 2020
- European – NEW DATE of January 15-17th 2021, with the same stakes and participants
- Asia-Pacific Finals – this event is now split into 3 separate online ones. Taking place from January 8-10th, it’s split into North Division, Oceania and South Asia
- The other regional finals have already taken place or are half-way through
Indeed, now we can transition to the Six Invitational 2021. Accordingly, this is the top event of the year. Only last year, did the event launch the event to Tier 1. Rainbow Six Siege Esports 2021 needs the event.
Six Invitational 2021
- Bearing this in mind, Open Qualifiers for NA, LA, Europe and Asia-Pacific are already underway.
- A total of $3,000,000 is on the line as a prize pool!
- The event will happen in late February – not sure yet whether it is online or offline
May and August Six Majors 2021 – No Details Available
Rainbow Six World Cup
- With a heavy heart, the event has been postponed to 2022
The delay of the event is quite saddening, but perhaps it’s for the best.
