Since yesterday, we’ve been watching the RLCS EU Winter Open event. Accordingly, the Group Stage kicked off yesterday as the first stage of the competition prior to the Playoffs, read on to learn more about the event below!
RLCS EU Winter Open Group Stage – Concluding Tomorrow
Indeed, the top 16 teams in the region were seeded into the Group Stage as soon as Closed Qualifier was concluded.
Bearing this in mind, teams were seeded not randomly, but through a process of seeding. Within each group, a round robin took palce where only the top 3 progress to the Playoffs.
Here are the standings with everything concluded:
Group A
- #1 – Team Vitality (3-0)
- #2 – Karmine Corp (2-1)
- #2 – Soniqs (1-2)
- #4 – suhh (0-3)
Group B
- #1 – G1 (3-0)
- #2 – Moist Esports (1-2)
- #3 – Williams Resolve (1-2)
- #4 – Solary (1-2)
Group C
- #1 – Team Liquid (2-1)
- #2 – Quadrant (2-1)
- #3 – Vertigo Esports (2-1)
- #4 – Tundra Esports (0-3)
Group D
- #1 – Oxygen Esports (2-1)
- #2 – German Amigos (2-1)
- #3 – Team BDS (2-1)
- #4 – Guild Esports (0-3)
At this stage, it’s still early and only the weakest teams have been eliminated.
