RLCS Europe Winter Cup – A Surprising Victory
Formed last October, Karmine Corp finished forming a roster to compete in European Rocket League.
Indeed, after a 1st place finish at the EU Winter Open, many thought that this victory was a fluke.
Accordingly, this past weekend, the Winter Cup put $100,000 on the line for the best 16 teams in the continent.
Last Friday, they started in Group A with a 2-1 lead. Seeded into the Quarterfinals, they then took down the following teams:
- Karmine Corp vs German Amigos (4-2)
- Oxygen Esports vs Karmine Corp (0-4)
- Karmine Corp vs Team Liquid (4-2)
Overall, this win confirms that this team is seriously a new contender in the European space. Accordingly, they’ve overcome other regional favourites such as Team Vitality, Team BDS and Moist Esports.
