This past weekend we saw another couple of matches in the LEC. This time round we saw Rogue taking down and eliminating Schalke 04 from the LEC Spring Playoffs. Here’s how it all went down:
Rogue eliminating Schalke 04 from LEC Spring playoffs – What happened?
Rogue started the playoffs versus MAD Lions in the upper bracket. They were dropped down to the lower bracket (Round 3) after a 3-1 loss, and matched up against Schalke 04. The first game went toward Rogue, and then Schlake tied it all with a win in the second game. Then in the following matches, Hans Sama’s Kalista was key, as they took them down in the next 2 games to win the series 3-1.
Having Rogue drop down to the losers bracket was something nobody expected, but then again, MAD Lions are quite a solid roster overall. With Fnatic, SK Gaming, and now Schalke out of the way, Rogue have 2 more series to complete in order to be crowned spring split champions.
What’s next?
Their next match up is against the G2 Esports lineup, probably the toughest team out there in the LEC. They will have to take them down on April 10th if they want to secure a spot in the Grand Finals versus MAD Lions. We can expect another intense and action packed series this weekend as we are approaching the final stages of the LEC Spring playoffs.
