The Six August 2020 Major event acts as a conclusion to the first stage of each regional league. Indeed, the following four regions have their very own schedule:
- Asia-Pacific: August 3-9th
- Latin America: August 7-9th
- North America: August 14-16th
- Europe: August 20-23rd
As a concluding remark to Season 2020 – Stage 1, each region will have its own opportunity to compete. Apart from the slight modification in date, the biggest switch is the move to online. Regardless, the Tier 1 esport looks to remain unfazed.
The following is what Ubisoft has to say about the decision:
“As the health and well-being of our teams, developers, players, partners, and audience is our first priority, we have taken the decision to switch the format of the Six August 2020 Major from LAN to online.”
