Recently, Ubisoft made some new announcements for the competitive Rainbow Six Siege community. Indeed, we’ll be covering them together with a recent announcement. Accordingly, G2 Esports have managed to qualify for the Six Invitational 2021 in a surprising turn of events – here’s the update!
Let’s start with the general update for the scene. Ubisoft has announced the following events for the 2021 season:
- European League Finals – Jan 15-17th with 4 teams, picked based on last year’s performances
- Asia-Pacific Finals – 3 online Finals from Jan 8-10th
- North American League Finals – Dec 11-13th
- Latin-American League Finals – Grand Finals from Nov 23-28th
- Six Invitational 2021 – February 2021
- Rainbow Six World Cup – postponed to 2022
The event of the year, the Six Invitational, will involve the top 20 teams in the world. Although there won’t be any crowd, it’s been confirmed that the event is planned for an offline environment.
G2 Esports Qualifies For the Six Invitational 2021
With the announcement of the available slots, G2 Esports have qualified for the event. Prior to this announcement, their 14th seed in the Points Bracket wasn’t enough to qualify for the main event. Indeed, the community is thrilled with this news due to how popular the European team is within competitive Rainbow Six Siege.
