French Esports organization Solary have announced that they are signing the ex-Oxygen Esports roster for their Rocket League division. Here is their announcement:
Solary signing ex-Oxygen Esports roster – Who are they?
The new Solary Rocket League lineup consists of 2 Frenchmen and 1 Belgian player. That being Victor “Ferra” Francal, Thibault “Chausette45” Grzesiak, alongside Maello “AztraL” Ernst, and to finish the squad, the team has also gotten the ex-Oxygen coach, Julie “Moon Phases” Combes. The team has had some solid performances in 2020, including early 2021. They got a high placement of 4th in the RLCS X Winter EU Regional event 3, and a 5th/6th placement at the RLCS X EU Major.
What happened?
Oxygen released their previous squad just recently. The main reason for the removal of the lineup was not identified. However, now we know that it was because the organisation wanted to bring on a North American squad instead.
The roster that Solary picked up, certainly has a lot to deliver. First up on their agenda is the Spring Closed Qualifier for the European “The Grid” event. In this tournament they are matching against a myriad of other solid teams, such as: Team Liquid, FC Barcelona, and so on… It is certainly not going to be a tough challenge for the Solary squad, but hopefully they are hungrier than ever, under a new team.
