SpaceStation Gaming win RLCS X Spring NA Regional Event 2 – How did they do it?
Group Stage
SpaceStation started the event with a 4-0 lead into Group A, taking down teams like FaZe, Rogue, Alpine and Scuba Squad. This win placed the team in the Winners’ Quarterfinals versus Susquehanna Soniqs, in which SSG won 3-0 to qualify to the playoffs.
Playoffs
Their first match up in the bracket was against Rogue. Fortunately enough for SSG, they did not let one loss bring them down, and went on to win the series 4-1. Then came NRG’s fearsome lineup of SquishyMuffinz, Jstn, and GarrettG. This was a much closer series, but in the end, SpaceStation came out on top with 4-2 win.
Grand Finals
Their final series of the tournament was versus the dominant Envy squad. Overall, it was an incredible series of back and forth games from both teams. Eventually, it was won by SpaceStation, here are the final moments of that series:
