According to a report by HLTV, German team Sprout is reportedly benching one of their main players, Denis. Here is everything you need to know:
Sprout reportedly benching Denis – Why?
In the report above it is stated that sources have told HLTV that due to Sprout’s disappointing season, the team is desperate to make some changes. First to go from the main lineup is Denis “denis” Howell. The only big achievements they had this season were their European Development Championship Season 2 win against Movistar Riders, and their ESL Meisterschaft: Spring 2021 victory over Unicorns of Love. It seems like Sprout are looking to turn the Sprout lineup into an international squad once again.
A look at Denis’ Career
Denis has been part of the Sprout organisation for quite a big part of his CS:GO career. He started it all in 2012 with team EYES ON U, and then went onto represent PENTA Sports in 2014. Then he had a short stint with Mousesports till 2017, and later transferred to Sprout in December. After a couple of great performances in 2019, he was offered a position on the BIG lineup. However, it wasn’t too successful. A handful of months later, he was benched and later on moved back into Sprout’s squad.
Here are some of his best career achievements:
- 3rd/4th in ELEAGUE Season 1 – 29th July 2016 – $70,000
- 5th-8th at ELEAGUE Season 2 – 1st December 2016 – $50,000
- 5th/6th in ESL Pro League Season 5 – Finals – 1st June 2017 – $45,000
- 3rd/4th at ESL Pro League Season 4 – Finals – 30th October 2016 – $45,000
