Popular organization T1 have just announced that they are parting ways with two of their VALORANT players, AZK and Brax. Here is their video announcement:
T1 parting ways with AZK and Brax – Why?
In the announcement video T1 do not mention the exact details of why this is their next step moving forward. However, they do address the fact that they think that this is the best decision they could currently make within the lineup.
As Brax points out in the video, T1’s VALORANT squad didn’t live up to its full potential, and they could have certainly closed the deal with at least 3 or more events. Unfortunately that’s how esports work, and sometimes the dream rosters and teams are just unable to keep up with the other teams.
Here are the teams best results with Brax and AZK:
- 2nd place at the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown – 28th June 2020 – $15,000
- 5th-8th – First Strike North America – 4th December 2020 – $5,000
- 3rd-4th – Cloud9 To The Skyes – 20th December 2020 – $3,000
With this announcement being a duo-departure statement, it will probably seem like AZK and Brax are sticking together, and representing another roster in VALORANT. There have been no details or subtle hints yet, but be sure to keep an eye out.
What’s next for T1?
The team has recently brought on Autimatic in an attempt to get the roster back in the top 4 of North America. They will probably be announcing their new 5th in the coming days, just before Challengers 2. So be sure to visit www.esportsguide.com for all your important news and updates about esports!
