T1 have just announced that they have opted to sign Karl to their Dota 2 roster. Here is their announcement:
T1 sign Karl – Who is Karl?
22-year old Filipino Karl Jayme has been playing Dota 2 competitively since 2015, and since then he has been under multiple rosters especially Filipino teams. Here are some of the teams Karl has been on: TaskUs Titans, Execration, Team Amplify, and most recently Geek Fam.
His most successful moments in his Dota 2 career were shared with the Geek Fam and Execration roster. With Geek he won the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League and placed 3rd in the WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020 whereas with Execration he won the MPGL Asian Championship.
Why is this big news?
Karl was originally planned to play for team Zerothreetwo (commonly 032), but it seems like he jumped ship after receiving the offer from T1. Here is 032’s departure post:
