T1 have just announced that they will be signing legendary CS:GO player Autimatic for their VALORANT roster. Here is their video announcement:
T1 signing Autimatic for VALORANT – Who is he?
24-year-old Timothy “autimatic” Ta is an American FPS player who spent most of his career in CS:GO. His most memorable moments were during 2016 and 2019 under the Cloud9 banner. With them, Autimatic has won quite a couple of events, as well as won a major. Here are Autimatic’s biggest achievements in CS:GO:
- 1st at the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 – 28th January 2018 – $500,000
- 1st in ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals – 30th October 2016 – $200,000
- 3rd-4th at Esports Championship Series Season 1 – Finals – 26th June 2016 – $80,000
Why did he switch?
After Gen.G ceased operations with its CS:GO squad, Autimatic was left option-less in Counter-Strike, and it led to him switching over to VALORANT. Here he’ll be pairing up with an old teammate of his, Skadoodle. Both have previously played for Cloud9 in their CS:GO division, and together won the 2018 Major.
Is that all the news?
With the recent news of fRod departing the team, T1 have also recently brought on a new coach, David Denis.
This T1 roster has gone through multiple shake ups and changes, but now with a 6th man on the team, they just might get some solid results. Their upcoming event is the Stage 1 Challengers 2 of the North American VCT.
