After the IEM Global Challenge Grand Finals, Twistzz was picked for a post-match interview and announced his departure from Team Liquid.
Twistzz announces departure from Team Liquid – Why?
In the clip, Twistzz says that it was a mutual decision from both Team Liquid and himself. After looking at the performance and results of their 2020 season, Twistzz has averaged a 1.00 rating. Definitely odd, especially for a player of his caliber. Not only that, but Team Liquid has been in desperate need of a solid leader, and dedicated Awper, and after Nitr0’s exit, the team has been in a constant role struggle.
Who will replace Twistzz?
According to a report made by Rush B Media, Legendary Brazilian Awper FalleN will be joining the Liquid roster as its replacement for Twistzz. FalleN has won 2 Major championships, and has impacted the Counter-Strike community like no other. Here are some of his best achievements:
- 1st at ESL One: Cologne 2016 – 10th July 2016 – SK Gaming – $500,000
- 1st at MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016 – 3rd April 2016 – Luminosity – $500,000
- 2nd at Flashpoint Season 1 – 19th April 2020 – MIBR – $250,000
