Finally, the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021 is over and what a way to end it! Indeed, the inaugural VALORANT Champions event was insane and incredibly successful. VALORANT Champions 2021 Recap – The EMEA Region Dominated
Indeed, everyone was quite shocked when the favourites of the event, Sentinels, fell to none other than a LATAM team called KRU Esports. Accordingly, this paved the way for a different winner.
Everything starts with the Group Stage. Here, Acend started comfortably with a 2-0 start, and a deserved first seed. Further into the Quarterfinals, they would then take down Team Secret in easy fashion with a sweep.
Heading into the Semifinals two other teams from EMEA remained apart from KRU Esports. To win, Acend would have to prove they’re the best from the EMEA.
And this they did. By demonstrated icnredibly unique strategy, they took down Team Liquid in grand fashion, booking a spot in the Grand Final.
There, the winners of Stage 3 in Gambit Esports would contest them for the Champion title. In an epic 3-2 series that went the distance, Acend proved themselves and claimed the inaugural VALORANT Champions title.
