VALORANT Game Update 5.12 has hit the game rather significantly. Accordingly, with multiple tweaks and changes, one notable one is the featuring of a new game mode. Specifically, Riot Games is finally launching a fast-paced regular mode – read on to learn more below!
VALORANT Game Update 5.12 – It Only Took Two Years
Named ‘SwiftPlay’, the beta is now live from December 6th 2022 to January 10th 2023.
Overall, Riot is testing out a new ‘standard 5v5 unrated mode, but condensed’ – here are the rules below:
- First to 5 rounds, each half is 4 rounds
- Set credit amounts granted at the start of the round, increasing with each round
- Weapon and Credit carry over to the next round
- 2 Ult points granted at the start of each half
- Sudden death overtime
- Match time is approximately 15 minutes
Warming up for ranked now has multiple avenues.
After so many years of asking, the community now has a legitimate way to practice for competitive which does not involve a commitment of at least 45 minutes.
Otherwise, this is only one of many changes which are shaking the meta in VALORANT Patch 5.12
