Valve still eyeing on Stockholm for CS:GO Major – What happened?
In a recent announcement by Valve regarding The International 10, they state that Sweden is no longer an option to host the prestigious event. Apparently, the Swedish Sports Federation denied the acceptance of esports into the sports federation. This directly affects the restrictions currently residing in Sweden and disallows any sort of mass event to happen in Swedish borders.
Community Reaction
The community didn’t take the disappointing news lightly. Everyone has been excited for this Major to take place, and it seems like we’re getting another delay. Much like Dota 2 fans, CS:GO enthusiasts are looking forward to these huge and historic events.
Stockholm CS:GO Major 2021
Ofcourse, everyone knows that Sweden is one of many homes of CS:GO competition. The country has bred some of the largest legends we know now, and is still delivering some top tier talent. Stockholm, Sweden, would’ve been the perfect destination for the return of CS:GO majors. In the end, we’ll just have to wait and see if Valve manages to either sort the ruling out with the Swedish government or find another destination to host the event.
