According to recently circled rumours, the VCT Game Changers events are coming to Europe. Here is everything you need to know:
VCT Game changers Europe – What do we know?
Arran “Halo” Spake was the one to first come out with these rumours. He’s been pretty on point with former news and roster moves, so he’s quite a credible source for this type of stuff. In his main tweet he states that Riot have been contacting multiple European orgs which are interested in taking part in a female only event, exclusively for Europe.
Halo continued by saying that there are going to be multiple VCT Game Changers events in 2021. These will feature players from Europe, Turkey. As well as Russia.
In North America we’ve already seen 2 instances of these Game Changers tournaments. Both events featured the best of the best female players in NA, and Cloud9 came out on top on both occasions.
George Geddes, lead reporter for Upcomer has said the following:
“I’m all for having women and marginalized genders participate in high-level European VALORANT, if this report is correct. It’s really cool to watch some Game Changes in North America, hoping it can be replicated.”
Obviously nothing has been officially announced at the time of writing, but we can expect something from Riot soon.
