Just recently today, Riot Games came forth with further details regarding the Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021 event. Indeed, exciting the competitive Wild Rift community, we’re also very itnerested. Read on for a quick event preview.
Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021 – Fact Sheet
We’ll kick things off by listing all the facts quickly:
- Venue: Stockholm(Offline)
- Number of teams: 6
- Date: 24-26th September
- Prize Pool: $180,000
- Format – Double Elimination Bracket
And those are all the details made live today.
Do note however, that the Championship event follows the initial stages ahead of it. As of right now, the six teams look to be from all across the world:
- Three Teams from Group A
- Two Teams from Group B
- One Team from Group C
Beyond prize pool, it’s likely that competitors will also be competing for seeds towards the Wild Rift World Championship later some time in 2021.
This event is definitely a historic moment for competitive Wild Rift. Accordingly, following months of regional competition, we have a chance to crown an international champion before the largest event of the year.
