Regardless of both series, the favourite prevailed in the end. Let’s start with the China vs Korea match:
- EDward Gaming vs Gen.G (3-2)
After dethroning Royal Never Give Up in the Quarterfinals, EDward Gaming felt confident moving forwards as the top Chinese team. On the other side of things, Gen.G easily took down Cloud9 3-0 in easy fashion.
Here, EDward Gaming fought hard to stay on top, though Gen.G managed to keep it close.
- DWG KIA vs T1 (3-2)
Following a season of doubts over whether or not DWG KIA is still the best team in the world, the Koreans would face another Korean team in the form of T1. Here though, although tested, they would stay on top and prevail to yet another grand final.
