We’ve got some terribly exciting news for fans of competitive League of Legends! Today, just a few hours ago, Riot Games let loose an announcement for this year. Specifically, the host city for the Worlds Finals 2021 is official – we’re headed to Shenzhen!
Without further a do, please dig in to the tweet which divulges everything:
Just like that, competitive League of Legends is returning to China for the Worlds Finals 2021.
This is literally all we know about the event so far, bearing in mind how far away it is.
Regardless, our expectations are as high as ever for the event. This year, Worlds 2020 was held offline in Shanghai and was a massive success. All of this was made possible thanks to the bubble created by Riot Games.
It’s likely that for 2021, we’ll still be in the same global situation, so that gives Riot Games a second chance to improve on the provided setting. Shenzhen is within the same country and should provide an incredible arena too – maybe this time, we’ll have a live crowd?
There’s so much competitive League of Legends to enjoy ahead of the event too. Currently, here at esportsguide, we’re covering the incoming Spring Split events for the regions which kick off soon.
