Accordingly, the Group Stage is finally concluded for the Worlds Main Event. Now that we’re in a small break, it’s the perfect oppotunity to preview the upcoming Playoffs stage. Indeed, read on as we preview the Worlds Main Event Playoffs below!
Worlds Main Event Playoffs – The Final 8
So, we have our final 8 teams from all over the world – find them listed below:
- JD Gaming
- Rogue
- T1
- Royal Never Give Up
- Gen.G
- DAMWON KIA
- DRX
- EDward Gaming
As you can see, only one team (Rogue from EU) does not hail from Korea or China.
Anyways, now the competition will involve a single-elimination bracket with BO5 matches. All 8 teams have been seeded as follows:
- JD Gaming vs Rogue
- T1 vs Royal Never Give Up
- Gen.G vs DWG KIA
- DRX vs EDward Gaming
Currently, the schedule for the quartefinals are not yet confirmed. Indeed, what we do know is that matches will take place daily from 20th to 23rd.
Accordingly, considering that no team ended the Group Stage flawlessly, there is no heavy favourite currently.
However, the first placed teams from each Group are favoured – these are JD Gaming, DRX, T1 and Gen.G.
