XSET enter PUBG Mobile – Player background
3 of the players, NiKo, Angry and Juicy, played together under Omen Elite, which picked them up earlier this year. Together in their most recent event theyβve gotten a 2nd place at PMPL – Spring Split 2020: Americas Scrims Season 1.
The other 2 players, being RoiiDz and Joey, have a somewhat different background. RoiiDz has played under several teams, some of them being: Lights Out, Tribe Gaming, and most recently, Wildcard gaming. With regards to Joey, being the youngest player on the team, he has the least experience, however he has recently played for Glacier.
Esports insider have done an interview with Marco Mereu, Co-Founder and COO of XSET, and he has said the following:
βYeah, the key factor we are looking at is the competitiveness of the team we are signing. You also always want to be cognizant of the makeup of the team and our commitment to being diverse and inclusive. Our players have a wide variety of backgrounds, so diversity and inclusion definitely factor into our decision but the most important thing on the esports side is working with the most skilled players.βΒ
