North American organisation XSET have announced that they are parting ways with one of their Rocket League players, AlphaKep. Here is their announcement:
XSET Parting ways with AlphaKep – Who is he?
23-year-old Austin “AlphaKep” Kepner is a professional Rocket League player from America. He kicked off his career in 2017 with team Ducks on Quack and then slowly climbed through the ranks. He played with Noble Esports, Avidity Esports, Randy Gibbons’ River Rats, as well as Stromboli. And today we saw the conclusion of his 10-month career path with XSET.
Here are some of his best achievements with XSET:
- 5th in the RLCS Season X – Spring: The Grid NA – 20th April 2021 – $7,000
- 5th-8th at the RLCS Season X – Fall: NA Regional Event 2 – 20th September 2020 – $4,000
- 9th-10th in RLCS Season X – Spring: NA Major – 22nd May 2021 – $3,000
What’s next?
The main reason for this departure was probably due to disappointing results in regional competitions. On XSET’s side, hopefully they manage to find a suitable third to fill in their final role. And from AlphaKep’s perspective, we’re sure that he’ll find a new home soon. He’s even expressed his feelings on twitter, stating that his hunger for competition is still there, and he’ll be back in no time.
