XSET has just announced that they are parting ways with Drip, a player that is part of their RainbowSix lineup. Here is their announcement:
XSET parting ways with Drip – Why?
In the twitlonger Drip released, he states that there are multiple reasons for his departure from XSET. He says that he could name all of the reasons, but the main point is that he has not been enjoying the game at all. In addition to this, he wishes to go back to school for the upcoming fall semester and live a normal life. This seems like yet another case of burnout from a top player, much like we had with Gla1ve as well as Olofmeister in 2020.
Here’s the full twitlonger from Drip stating his reasons for stepping down:
What now?
As stated in the announcement, due to this roster change, their main coach Jarvis will be filling in the role for the time being. The squad will stay as is for Stage 2 of the North American League 2021.
We do not know when we’ll see a glimpse of Drip in esports once again, however, with his amount of talent, it’s inevitable that he’ll return sometime in the future.
