After 14 months with the North American team, Zews is reportedly leaving Evil Geniuses. Here’s everything you need to know.
Zews reportedly leaving Evil Geniuses – Why?
In the article it is stated that the main reason for his departure is due to “a difference of opinion regarding the team’s direction”. This could be a variety of things, but HLTV has not disclosed what this difference of opinion is.
Zews first joined Evil Geniuses back in April of 2020 after he was benched from MiBR. This wasn’t the first team he was coaching a North American team, as he had previously coached Team Liquid between 2016 and 2018.
Here are some of Zews’ best achievements with Evil Geniuses:
- 1st in BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 American Finals – 21st June 2020 – $160,000
- 1st at ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online – North America – 29th August 2020 – $65,000
- 3rd in ESL Pro League Season 12: North America – 26th September 2020 – $36,000
What’s next for Zews?
Hard to say what lies in the future for Zews’ coaching career. There are very limited options on the market at the moment, and it seems like his only option is going to be switching to VALORANT. We cannot say for sure that Zews is departing from CS:GO, but we will have to wait for an announcement from him real soon about his situation.
